Although seventeen years have passed since the release of the third chapter in theaters all over the world, Sam Raimi has never hidden his intention, sooner or later, to make Spider-Man 4, i.e. the fourth chapter of the saga he signed dedicated to Spider-Man and starring Tobey Maguire. Ever since the latter returned to take on the role of the superhero in Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans have been clamoring for a new film in Raimi's narrative universe.

Sam Raimi and his statements on Spider-Man 4: will the film be made?

On the occasion of WonderCon, Sam Raimi was interviewed by CBR. When asked for his opinion on the rumors of a new Spider-Man movie starring Tobey Maguire, the director said: “Well, I haven't heard anything about it yet. I've read the rumors, but I'm not actually working on it yet. I mean, Marvel and Columbia have had so much success with the current Spider-Man movies, and I don't know if they're going to come back to me and say, 'Well, folks, we can tell this story too!'"

The director confessed that he really loved Spider-Man: No Way Home and that "it was really super exciting to see Tobey [Maguire] in that movie again." But he assures: “I haven't talked to Tobey about [a fourth film with me], but maybe Marvel or Columbia Pictures have. I just worked with Marvel on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. So, I'm on very good terms with them. I'm sure I would have heard about it if it was in the works." We remind you that Sony and Marvel are currently developing the fourth chapter starring Tom Holland.
