Although little is known about Daisy Ridley's next Star Wars film, New Jedi Order, the actress feels optimistic and well-prepared, thanks to the new experience she has gained from years of working on sets. Directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, the New Jedi Order will be set fifteen years after the events of the Star Wars sequel trilogy and, as the title suggests, will focus on a new Jedi Order created and led by Daisy Ridley's Rey.

Details are scarce and the script hasn't been completed yet, but Ridley already knows all aspects of the new film and promises something stratospheric! In an interview with Empire, Ridley states that this time, she intends to be serious and will do her best to play the role of Rey to the best of her ability. The actress explains that, with all her personal growth, on and off screen, things will be different this time, better. Compared to her experiences with her first Star Wars films, Daisy Ridley admits that she has changed.

“I feel like I own the role more. Basically, I'm an adult now. I certainly didn't feel that way initially. Obviously, personally, things have changed, and professionally, I've had a lot of other experiences, so I feel like it's definitely a different thing this time. There is a lot of joy in me and in these films. Honestly, if I hadn't been so excited, I wouldn't have agreed to come back. Now it feels like a great thing to be part of.” Despite the lukewarm reception given to the sequel trilogy, more precisely to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Ridley's return to the Star Wars universe is highly anticipated by all fans of the saga.
