As expected, the dominance of Warner Bros' monster movie at the American box office was also confirmed in the new cinema weekend. According to data offered by BoxOfficePro, in fact, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire won with a new taking of 31.7 million dollars, recording a drop of approximately 60% compared to the 80 million takings in its debut weekend, online with the other chapters of the MonsterVerse.

Overall, Godzilla x Kong reached a partial gross of 135.03 million, more than the total gross of 2021's "Godzilla vs Kong" (100.91 million) and "Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters" of 2019 (110.5 million). However, the total of “Kong: Skull Island” in 2017 (168.05 million) remains an absolutely achievable goal, minus that of “Godzilla” in 2014 (200.67 million). Finally, internationally, the new MonsterVerse film added another 59.3 million dollars, for a total of 226 million. To date, in the Worldwide Box Office, the takings have risen to 361.1 million, with the Japanese market still to be reached.

Monkey Man (Dev Patel's directorial debut) debuted in second place with an above-expected gross of $10.15 million. The excellent reception from critics and audiences (CinemaScore and RottenTomatoes data) could give the film a good hold in the coming weeks. The long-awaited horror film Omen: Rise of the Omen debuted below estimates with $8.36 million in fourth place; Ghostbusters: Ice Menace confirmed itself in third place with 9 million dollars grossed over the weekend and 88.86 million as a partial result.
